Our Co-Founders Michael Grundon and Kane Thompson are committed to building deep, authentic relationships between corporations and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. Their partnership and friendship has been strengthened through their shared commitment to the Indigenous Australian culture, community and people.
Michael Grundon Managing Director, is a proud Aboriginal man who is a descendant of the Kabi Kabi, Wakka Wakka and Koa Tribes. He has strong connections within the Indiginous community in South East Queensland. Michael has over 15 years Project and People Management experience which he will draw upon to lead Gawun Supplies on a successful and meaningful journey
Kane Thompson is a non Indigenous man from the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. He is fully committed to Indigenous People in Australia and the affairs surrounding them. Kane, along with his wife and business partner Tiffany offer more than 10-years experience within the Uniform and Safety Equipment Industry, dealing with large organisations across multiple industrial sectors.
Together, Michael and Kane are committed to continuing to develop Indigenous designed uniforms and PPE, creating awareness of the Indigenous culture within Australia while also building your connection with country.
WHAT WE DO
Gawun Supplies creates and provides unique, Indigenous-designed uniforms and PPE that promote awareness of Australian Indigenous culture. Founded by Michael Grundon, a proud Aboriginal descendant of the Kabi Kabi, Wakka Wakka, and Koa tribes, the Logan-based company partners with Indigenous artists and businesses nationwide to produce culturally significant workwear for industries like mining, construction, and local councils.
The team at Gawun Supplies is committed to strengthening the connection between corporations and Country through education and cultural engagement, reinvesting a portion of revenue into grassroots Indigenous community programs.
Michael’s vision emphasises caring for community, Country, and workers, sparking meaningful conversations and collaborations that bridge cultural gaps.
